The YOGAmazing™ video podcast has surpassed a landmark five million iTunes downloads as of January 14, 2008, according to Feedburner. The Louisville, Ky-based YOGAmazing Video podcast has been a consistent top-rated podcast globally (within the top overall 1% of iTunes downloads), and was featured in the October issue of Shape magazine. In addition, the YOGAmazing DVD Yoga for the Kid in All of Us was featured in Yoga Journal and the recent issue (December 2007/January 2008) of Parenting magazine. Louisville, KY (PRWEB) January 15, 2008 -- The YOGAmazing™ video podcasts has surpassed a landmark five million iTunes downloads as of January 14, 2008, according to Feedburner. The Louisville, Ky-based YOGAmazing Video podcast has been a consistent top-rated podcast globally (within the top overall 1% of iTunes downloads), and was featured in the October issue of Shape magazine. In addition, the YOGAmazing DVD Yoga for the Kid in All of Us was featured in Yoga Journal and the recent issue (December 2007/January 2008) of Parenting magazine. Rough began the podcast in August of 2005 at the request of his students. The downloads reached the one million mark on August 1, 2006, and the YOGAmazing™ Video Podcast has grown a global audience to include viewers from all over the globe to become one of iTunes' top health podcasts, consistently averaging fifty thousand downloads each week.
Rough credits the podcast's success not only to a growing Western interest in this traditionally Eastern practice, but also to his unique approach which employs his own simple, down to earth attitude and readily apparent sense of humor, something not always found in traditional yoga instruction. Each twenty-five minute class is based on specific questions asked via e-mail by one of Rough's global students. The YOGAmazing Video Podcast is produced by Rough's company, the PodFactory, a mobile media company that creates podcasts and social media initiatives for numerous major corporations. Rough is also a frequent speaker at emerging technology workshops and Ad Club conclaves across the country. Rough is clearly excited by the global impact his podcast productions have had in assisting his clients in achieving their goals, but admits that the YOGAmazing podcasts are satisfying on a more personal level.
