Des Plaines, IL (PRWEB) May 16, 2008 -- Whether or not you are a fan of American Idol, you've likely heard about one of the current finalists, David Cook and his brother, Adam. David is a talented singer, musician and songwriter vying for a chance to become the next American Idol, while his brother is battling a brain tumor. David and Adam are very close, and David wants Adam with him every step of the way on his road to fame.

For the previous taping of the show, generous family members and friends donated enough money to fly Adam, his wife and a nurse and medic from their home in Terre Haute, Indiana to the show in Los Angeles. After attending that show, Adam reportedly did a 180 degree turn for the better.

David's fans are now trying to raise money to fly Adam, together with his medial team, to the show's finale where the American Idol will be named. Their fundraising efforts include selling a silicon/rubber bracelet that says "David Cook Rocks". Half of the proceeds will support Adam's trip and the other half will be donated to the American Brain Tumor Association, which funds brain tumor research and provides educational information to patients and their families.

The final word on Adam's ability to make the trip will come from his doctor, but if the money could be raised to get him there, that's one less worry.
