IndUShealth Launches Integrated Global Cancer Treatment Program

IndUShealth partners with world-class cancer centers in India and America to provide affordable cutting-edge oncology services with the benefits of long-term follow-up physician care in the U.S.

Raleigh, N.C. (PRWEB) May 21, 2008 -- IndUShealth, Inc., a Raleigh, North Carolina-based company that offers Americans affordable world-class health care overseas, announced the launch of its global cancer treatment program. The company has added two partners to its provider network, Community Radiation Oncology Centers, based in Long Beach, California, and Imperial Cancer Care Centers, headquartered in Bangalore, India.

Initially, this program will offer curative treatments for head, neck and prostate cancers using advanced radiation therapies such as IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy) and 3DCRT (Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy). Launching in California and Florida, the program will expand to other states.

Tom Keesling, President of IndUShealth, said, "Partnering with these world-class oncology centers allows us to offer a viable alternative to the skyrocketing costs of cancer treatments faced by the many uninsured individuals and self-insured companies throughout the United States."

Keesling continued, "The typical cost savings possible by coordinating even a portion of the most expensive treatments overseas is tremendous. Depending on the structure, it ranges between 30 to 70 percent of the cost of similar treatment performed entirely in the U.S."

Dr. Lin Church, IndUShealth's Chief Medical Officer observed, "In contrast to our orthopedic and cardiology patients that are ready for travel upon completion of their stay, the oncology patient requires a carefully coordinated transition from one physician to another for continued treatment and recovery. These new partnerships will allow us to provide long-term coordination of care and maintain the standards we have worked to achieve."

According to Dr. Nisar Syed, Principal Oncologist of California Radiation Oncology Centers, "We look forward to participating in the phenomenon of globalized health care pioneered by IndUShealth. Through this relationship, we are privileged to seamlessly extend care across geographical boundaries."

Dr. Viqar Syed, Principal Oncologist of Imperial Cancer Care Centers, commented, "We are pleased to be a part of this integrated global program that allows us to offer American cancer patients access to our state-of-the-art radiation oncology technologies and digital patient records."

IndUShealth, founded in 2005, serves as the critical link between Americans considering overseas care and India's leading medical centers. These state-of-the-art internationally accredited hospitals provide high-quality advanced medical treatments at costs dramatically lower than in the United States.

Growing awareness of the "medical tourism" phenomenon in recent years has led to India's emergence as a medical travel destination of choice for an increasing number of uninsured Americans in need of highly-complex medical procedures.

IndUShealth has also experienced strong growth in interest in its "Global Healthcare Option" which is offered to corporations, insurance companies, and private/state government health plans to help those organizations maximize the quality of treatment and variety of options for their employees and retirees.
