Low Cost Radiology Workstations Now Compatible with All PACS Systems - Released, RSNA 2007

Medical Displays for Less, working with major healthcare suppliers, releases a new medical grade family of low cost, space saving, radiology DICOM workstations in time for RSNA 2007. These are the first PACS/Teleradiology compatible workstations to deliver the high performance image reading capacity needed in today's busy, multi specialty radiology practice in a mini-tower package. Radiologists benefit from increased utility that supports expanded diagnostic and "wet read" services which speeds delivery of care while lower related healthcare costs. The formerly expensive alternative of a "second $100,000 console" is now available for less than $10,000.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 22, 2007 -- Medical Displays for Less (MDFL) is introducing a new line of radiology workstations for multi-modality diagnostic interpretation and clinical review of DICOM images in time for the world's largest medical meeting, Radiology Society of North America 2007 (RSNA 2007). This new line of market leading products provides a high performance computer system in a small package while greatly reducing the price.

Working with healthcare device manufacturers, PACS suppliers and end users, MDFL is introducing four products that will cover over 90% of all diagnostic and clinical requirements that take the guess work out of combing multiply PACS/Teleradiology systems. Driven by rapid sub specialization and a growing shortage of radiologists, radiology practitioners are becoming more virtual and efficient. Remote diagnostic and clinical review capabilities provided by the new Clinical2™, Basic2™, Standard3™ or the High5™ systems answer this need for radiologist's to have viewing stations in cramped environments. These "Plug and Play" DICOM compatible workstations that can be interfaced to any PACS or Teleradiology system.

"The need for reliability, speed and performance in the smallest plug and play package was the design goal from the end users input" said Kevin Sundquist, CEO of MDFL, "Then working with all the different suppliers and companies to provide simple solutions to the complex requirements of the different imaging modalities was the challenge. We believe these highly versatile systems are the solution to radiology's need for increased mobility."
