Family owned mattress retailer launches new website focused on comprehensive approach to comfort, sleep and quality of life.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) May 25, 2007 -- American Bed, a family owned mattress retailer in the Phoenix Metro area, launches its new website this week that focuses on the healthful benefits of a good night's sleep and creating an atmosphere where quality sleep = quality life.

American Bed is redirecting the mattress industry's attention from sales to responsibility on the part of mattress sellers. The new site contains research reports, health minded news and current events posted with the intention to be a source of reliable industry and wellness information to its customers. American Bed's website also offers exclusive sales, design suggestions and eventually, an online community to share opinions and feedback on a regular basis.

"How much sleep you get each night directly affects your mood, your energy, your productivity and your well being. We are helping our customers create a refuge of comfort in their homes where they can get relief, recharge, and be healthy," says owner Scott Michelsen. "We have a personal commitment to improve the health and welfare of all of our customers every day of the year."

American Bed supports the National Sleep Council's "Better Sleep Month" awareness campaign this month, and recommends evaluating your mattress and its foundation (box spring) at least twice a year by asking these questions:

  • Are you sleeping worse than you were a year ago?
  • Do you wake up feeling stiff, achy or sore?
  • Have you had your best night's sleep somewhere other than your own bed?
  • Is your mattress more than seven years old?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, it may be time for a new mattress.
