(PRWEB) March 9, 2007 -- Dr. Michael Sampson, a local cosmetic dentist, will reveal the results of the third annual Marco Makeover on Saturday, March 31, 2007, 7 p.m., at the Marco Island Yacht Club, 1400 N Collier Blvd. Cost for the event is $25.00 per person.

This year's recipient, Marianne Schmid, a breast cancer survivor, will be honored at the gala, which culminates the three month head-to-toe makeover, inspired by the American Cancer Society's Look Good, Feel Better program. Several local beauty, health and fashion professionals will contribute their expertise, services and products, including Liz Havens (Skin Renewal Systems), Angelica Andrews (Angelica's Boutique), Bart and Jan Brewer (Marco Fitness Club), Rick Popoff (Rick's Island Salon and Day Spa) and Jeff Bradford (Crystal Sounds Studio).

Dr. Sampson, a Marco Island restorative cosmetic dentist, founded the program in 2005 to stress that there is life after cancer, and to honor and encourage the strength of all cancer patients and survivors. Sampson has a personal interest in this life-inspiring program. His beloved aunt died of lung cancer. "I'm pleased to continue to be a part of this important event and help improve the lives of people who have endured so much," commented Sampson.

In addition to cosmetic improvements, Schmid will be given a full dental makeover, performed by Dr. Sampson. Schmid's dental restoration will include nine porcelain crowns, provided by da Vinci Dental Studios, a full-service dental laboratory, based in West Hills, CA.
