Lexington International, LLC Retains Medical Expert and Pioneer of Hair Restoration to be EU Medical Director and Conduct Studies of Laser Hair Therapy for Hair Growth

Lexington International, LLC, manufacturer and distributor of the revolutionary HairMax LaserComb®, has retained Dr. Yves Crassas as the European spokesperson and medical expert.

Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) July 30, 2008 -- Lexington International, LLC, manufacturer and distributor of the revolutionary HairMax LaserComb®, has retained Dr. Yves Crassas as the European spokesperson and medical expert. Dr. Crassas commenced work with medical hair restoration more than twenty years ago, as part of his cosmetic surgery practice. Since then, Dr. Crassas has been on the forefront of the hair restoration field, investigating, evaluating, and perfecting new techniques to provide his patients with the most effective therapies for encouraging the natural regrowth of healthy hair.

Dr. Crassas has strong connection to the United States; in the 1930, his mother was one of the first French female students studying in the United States, and he has many friends in the United States. Dr. Crassas attended both college and medical school at the University of Lyon. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Crassas became a cardiac and vascular surgeon, receiving special training in Houston, Texas, under world-famous heart surgeon Michael E. DeBakey, MD. Afterwards, he returned to France, and in 1972 became the chief of the vascular surgery department in Chambery, where he served until 1985. During this time, Dr. Crassas developed a national reputation as a pioneer in vascular microsurgery. Dr. Crassas attributes his natural affinity for hair surgery to his background and skill in microsurgery.

Dr. Crassas teaches, writes for professional journals, and has presented his innovative research on cosmetic surgery, hair restoration and laser therapy at medical conferences around the globe. He is an active member in many professional societies, and is a founding member of the French College of Scalp Surgery, a member of International Advisory Board of the International Society of Hair Surgery, and Vice President of the French College of Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr. Crassas is also a member of the advisory board of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a member of the French Surgical Association of Surgery.

Dr. Crassas states "medical hair restoration has made amazing progress since I began practice over two decades ago", and "I feel that the potential benefits of laser hair therapy for hair restoration show great promise, based on what we already know regarding lasers and cell rejuvenation, lasers are already becoming a standard therapy in wound care, skin cell renewal and pain management".

Co-founder and Managing Director of Lexington International, LLC David Michaels expressed his enthusiasm for the company's future and new association with Dr. Crassas, stating, "Dr. Crassas will concentrate on helping to bring to light the affect of laser light on cell proliferation, vascularization and apoptosis, and gain a clearer understanding of the therapeutic outcomes of increased vascular circulation to the hair bulb and cell proliferation".

The HairMax LaserComb is the first and only FDA cleared hand-held laser device that utilizes low-level laser therapy to improve the appearance of hair. With no reported side effects, and an incomparable satisfaction rate, the LaserComb is revolutionizing the hair care industry.
