Care2Learn Offers Assisted Living Facilities Online In-service Curriculum

Care2Learn is now offering a curricula - an organized list of online in-service training - for assisted living facilities nationwide.

Bradenton, FL (PRWEB) October 29, 2007 -- Care2Learn (www.Care2LearnSolutions.com) is now offering a curricula - an organized list of online in-service training - for assisted living facilities nationwide.

The customized Learning Management System created by Care2Learn was developed for the purpose of educating, training, testing, reporting and tracking continuing education for employees in post-acute healthcare - assisted living, personal care homes, Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly, as well as skilled nursing facilities, home health care, hospice and rehabilitation.

"With over 2100 hours of CE courses and several hundred in-services targeted to the caregivers in each of our service areas, we found that our clients were literally overwhelmed by the number of titles offered", says Faith Williams, Director of Account Management for Care2Learn. "Many of our long term care clients have assisted living properties, and needed to know which of our in-services would be appropriate for that setting".

The new assisted living curricula offers 87 in-services written to meet the regulatory and other training needs of caregiving staff. In-service titles range from state-mandated training on communicating with the elderly to a dementia series that includes practical training in daily activities, avoiding catastrophic reactions, and dealing with family members of persons with dementia. A Care Basics series trains staff in areas such as oxygen safety, food safety, and preventing falls. In addition, the Life Skills series offers practical skills that will help keep employees on the job, including titles such as "Choosing Quality Child Care", "Credit Card Management" and "Safe Driving".

Many of the titles in the Assisted Living curricula were developed from content provided by Care2Learn's clients. "Care2Learn has a unique program of using their clients as content partners", says Edie Deane, Vice President of Education and Training. "Clients send us content, which we then give to our instructional designers, graphics artists and editors to turn into online training. It's a true partnership - we are both working to create the best online curricula for our staff. It's the reason that our in-service library is twice the size of our nearest competitor." Look for more unique curricula to come in the near future!
