American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation and The Pohly Company Partner to Produce First Custom Publication for Emergency Rooms

The Pohly Company, a marketing and publishing company with a significant portfolio in custom publishing, has been retained by the American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation (ACEPF) of Dallas, Texas, to design and produce VitalCare — a consumer magazine to be distributed in emergency departments across the country.

Boston (PRWEB) January 23, 2008 -– The Pohly Company, a marketing and publishing company with a significant portfolio in custom publishing, has been retained by the American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation (ACEPF) of Dallas, Texas, to design and produce VitalCare — a consumer magazine to be distributed in emergency departments across the country.

Launching in April 2008, VitalCare will focus on providing health and safety information for families, seniors, and the public at large. The publication seeks to enhance the emergency department experience for patients and those who accompany them, increase public awareness about emergency medicine, and educate the public about health and safety issues.

“Emergency physicians are on the front lines of the American health care system providing the essential community service of emergency care to more than 114 million visitors per year,” says ACEPF Executive Director Dean Wilkerson. “Providing outstanding patient care is our No. 1 goal and VitalCare will help us reach patients with important information to help prevent, respond to, or recognize the signs of medical emergencies as well as current issues affecting their health care.”

“ACEPF came to us with a goal to reach consumers in the unique environment of the emergency department,” said Diana Pohly, president of The Pohly Company. “We are using our extensive consumer custom publishing experience to create a magazine that’s compelling and informative, and encourages consumers to be proactive on health and safety issues. It’s a great project that is a good fit for our capabilities and we’re looking forward to the launch of the first issue in the spring.”
