DocTalk, Inc. announces an agreement to provide physician review for health risk appraisals completed by subscribers to U.S. Preventive Medicine's The Prevention Plan™. The Prevention Plan is a new health management program offered by U.S. Preventive Medicine to help individuals determine their top health risks and receive a customized plan to lower those risks. Through this agreement, subscribers can be confident that their health risk appraisals are being reviewed by board-certified physicians, so that health risks can be identified and addressed. (PRWEB) October 12, 2008 -- DocTalk, Inc. today announced an agreement to provide physician review for health risk appraisals completed by subscribers to U.S. Preventive Medicine's The Prevention Plan™. The Prevention Plan is a new health management program offered by U.S. Preventive Medicine to help individuals determine their top health risks and receive a customized plan to lower those risks. Subscribers have their health inventory's results reviewed by one of DocTalk's board-certified physicians who will then make comments about the findings and recommend additional actions or necessary follow up.

When an individual signs up for The Prevention Plan, their health status is assessed through comprehensive blood work, vitals and a subscriber-provided online record of their health history. After completing the online portion of the appraisal, subscribers undergo extensive blood tests to determine their level of risk for a variety of medical conditions including diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease.
As part of the agreement, The Prevention Plan subscribers have the option to request that their health risk appraisals be reviewed by a member of DocTalk Inc.'s network of board-certified physicians. While reviewing the subscriber's appraisal, the DocTalk physician makes comments and suggestions about the findings of the lab tests and makes recommendations for any additional follow-up.
