Grandparents Day is this Sunday. How are your grandparents being cared for? If you are among those struggling to care for their grandparents or struggling with their caregivers, you are not alone. Grandparents Day and National Assisted Living Week are good prompts to get the public thinking about how it can better prepare and train itself to care for its elders.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 7, 2007 -- In their book, Effective Elder Caregiving, Barbara Rothschild Allen & Lauren Barrett show you how to better care for and communicate with the seniors around you. The book is for siblings taking care of parents, elderly spouses caring for each other, and friends nursing aging neighbors. A caregiver may not know what to do and may not be able to do it all himself. In the book are options, tips and best practices. Effective Elder Caregiving also addresses choosing a professional caregiver and is helpful to those considering caregiving as a career.
