TL2009 software will control RFID carrier send/receive verification and provide carrier segregation for department-specific uses. Pneumatic tube system stations using Swisslog's new WhoTube™ card swipe technology to secure station access have even greater protection with TL2009. With WhoTube, the sender and recipient information is recorded and can be used conjunction with Swisslog's Station Access Doors.
TL2009 supports high-speed network communications and monitors the tube system over a hospital's existing IT infrastructure (100 Mbps). The software controls empty storage/empty call, a function which allows carriers stored in system tubing to be accessible to users with the press of a button.
TL2009 controls variable speed technology, in which sensitive items can be transported at lower speeds for gentle handling and empties can be sent at a faster speed for improved performance. The software also expedites the transport of carriers in the event of a computer malfunction.
