Commercial Demand for Translation Services in Middle Eastern Languages Grows Despite Mideast Turmoil and Global Market Conditions

Language translation service provider sees continued growth for Mideast translation services through present business quarter.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 14, 2009 -- Leading provider of language translation services, Link Translations, has announced a year-on-year increase in commercial demand for translation services for languages native to the Middle East region during the last business quarter.

"We have seen a steady increase in billable hours for American companies seeking translations concerning Mideast languages such as Arabic (http://www.link-translations.com/langpages/Arabic-translations.shtml), Farsi (http://www.link-translations.com/langpages/Farsi-translations.shtml), and Turkish (http://www.link-translations.com/langpages/Turkish-translations.shtml) despite the regular news stories of Mideast regional strife and slowing global trade," says Link Translations CEO Evren Ay, who manages the company's North American offices. "One might well have expected a resultant downturn in the market for related professional translation -- but we are experiencing the opposite."

With five North American branch offices the company is particularly well placed to detect market trends. It employs over two thousand freelance interpreters in all major world languages, and is regularly called upon to provide services to both governmental and Fortune 500 interests.

"We have not only increased professional staffing in recent months, but have contracted additional outside expertise to service the increased volume which current trends are indicating for the initial 2009 business quarter," adds Mr. Ay.

A seasoned professional translator whose clients include the U.S. State Department, Mr. Ay has, over his thirteen years in the commercial translation sector, seen the waxing and waning of interest in expert translation services by American import and export firms. Conventional wisdom suggests that in the current global economic slowdown all services related to trade will be adversely affected.

"But that's not quite what we're seeing," according to Mr. Ay. "Perhaps companies are expecting global trade to recover faster than many predict. The interest we're seeing for trade related translation services seems indicative of expectations of increased international trade, and we are quite buoyed by what this portends for us."
