Good Samaritan Hospital Receives Final New York State Approval to Begin Performing Cardiac Surgery
First surgical patient undergoes elective angioplasty in The Active International Cardiovascular Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital. Suffern, NY (PRWEB) January 22, 2007 -- Good Samaritan Hospital has received final New York State Department of Health approval to begin performing cardiac surgery. Following receipt of the authorization letter on Thursday, January 18, 2007, the first elective angioplasty was performed at Good Samaritan on Friday, January 19. Physicians at the hospital are currently scheduling open heart procedures that are expected to commence early next week, as well as additional elective angioplasty procedures.
