Scribe Moves to Qwest to Meet Accelerated Growth: Leader Exceeded 11,000 Users and Adds Second Facility

Move to add capacity for streamlining customer workflow for medical dictation, transcription, and archival while preparing for EMR/EHR integration.

Lake Forest, IL (PRWEB) March 22, 2007 -- Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc. (http://www.scribe.com), a leading healthcare technology company, today announced its move to Qwest. The move was precipitated due to Scribe's increasing growth now exceeding 11,000 users. Scribe platform users include physicians, clinicians, administrative personnel, and transcriptionists.

"Our increased growth has outstripped our current collocation partner's capacity. With the move to the Qwest CyberCenter in Chicago and the addition of a second CyberCenter in Denver, Qwest will meet our grow requirements for years to come. Having multiple collocations will also allow for load balancing and redundancy" said Mark Boyce, CEO of Scribe.

"Most of our customers won't notice any difference between hosting facilities -- that's a good thing," says Brian Pitsch, VP of Development. Scribe customers rely on immediate access to dictations and transcribed files. Many have chosen to integrate their EMR/EHR solutions with Scribe. As a result Scribe becomes a data feeder to populate the EMR/EHR. The selection of Qwest and the Qwest CyberCenters ensure scalability.

With the change to Qwest and the addition of a second hosting facility, Scribe will achieve the following:

- Improved redundancy and disaster recovery
- Ability to distribute server loads worldwide
- Increased speed for user experience
- Greater scalability

Scribe technologies are modular and Web-based, leveraging the Internet and standard Microsoft applications. Scribe offers a variety of technologies that help hospitals, medical practices, and MTSO manage documentation workflow.
