MediConnect Speeds Personal Medical Records Retrieval with Release of New RapidRetrieve Enhancements: Quicker Electronic Medical Records Retrieval and Increased
Information Status Notifications
SALT LAKE CITY (Business Wire EON) October 30, 2007 --
In order to advance the medical
records (www.mediconnect.net/press_releases.asp)
retrieval experience of its clients, MediConnect
Global, Inc. (www.mediconnect.net)
today announced an update to its leading online medical records
retrieval and digitization system, RapidRetrieve™
(www.mediconnect.net/rapidretrieve.asp).
Enhancements speed retrieval of personal medical records, provide
improved status updates, and simplify the request process. Enhancements include:
-
Upload
Authorization—All personal
medical record retrievals require a signed authorization or
subpoena. In addition to mailing or faxing an authorization,
case agents can now scan them into a TIFF or PDF format and upload
them with a few clicks when they order electronic medical records in
RapidRetrieve. This allows the retrieval process to begin sooner.
-
Time Zone
Stamp—All MediConnect agent status
notes now include an MT (Mountain) time zone indication
with the time stamp. This allows status notifications to show exactly
when a specific action occurred, eliminating confusion due to the
various time zones.
-
Record
Status Indication—In order to
quickly see the response MediConnect agents receive from providers,
the electronic medical records link (used to access the retrieved
online medical record) now shows whether it is a personal medical
record (retrieved record), a no-patient (indicating the provider did
not have a patient record), or no-record (indicating the requested
record could not be located).

New Section
Headers—Section headers have been
updated to improve client navigation within RapidRetrieve.
