Swisslog Introduces Station Access Door for Recessed Pevco™ Pneumatic Tube System Stations
Swisslog Healthcare Solutions Division North America releases a Station Access Door for recessed stations on both 4-inch and 6-inch pneumatic tube systems for hospitals. Denver, CO (PRWEB) January 22, 2008 -- Swisslog, a leading manufacturer and supplier of pneumatic tube systems for hospitals, has introduced a Station Security Access Door that operates independently from the station control panel and can be easily installed on both 4-inch and 6-inch Pevco™ manufactured recessed stations using Pevco™ or Swisslog control panels. Swisslog's Station Access Door limits access to the station receive/dispatch bin through the use of electromagnetic locking technology. Once a valid PIN is entered into the keypad, the Station Access Door releases the lock. After opening, the spring-loaded door automatically closes and the lock is reactivated after a programmable timer expires. The Station Access Door stores up to five user PIN combinations (up to 8-digits each). The PIN combinations can be changed using a master code. The Station Access Door addresses HIPPA concerns by increasing security and patient privacy and limits access of sensitive items to authorized personnel. These doors protect stations in public areas, providing added security, preventing children and unauthorized persons from accessing station contents or from initiating system sends.
