MeritCare Health System worked with Simply Retail earlier in 2007, receiving a completed Retail Discovery for MeritCare Health System on August 1, 2007. The project scope of their first Discovery included MeritCare Downtown Campus including the Broadway Health Center and MeritCare Southpointe. MeritCare South University Hospital was not included in the original Retail Discovery.

MeritCare South University is an integral part of the MeritCare Health system. As the Retail Discovery for the Downtown Campus and Southpointe has shown, MeritCare already has a focused and captive audience. Integrating healthcare retail will add tremendous value to patients, staff and families. With the implementation of a comprehensive retail strategy now under consideration, the time is right to determine the details of the retail opportunity at South University.

Over the past nine years, Simply Retail has created retail opportunities for hospitals across the nation. The scope of work and planning includes hospitals, medical office buildings, ambulatory care centers, medi-spas, fitness centers and rehabilitation facilities.
