AxoGen and LifeNet Health Partner to Expand Treatment Options for Patients with Peripheral Nerve Injuries

ALACHUA, Fla. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) March 17, 2008 -- AxoGen Nerve Regeneration announces a strategic partnership with LifeNet Health, a leading allograft bio-implant company, for the processing of Avance Nerve Grafts. Launched in 2007, Avance Nerve Graft is the only off-the-shelf product available that gives surgeons the option to repair damaged peripheral nerves with human allograft nerve. Peripheral nerves enable communication between the brain and muscles or senses. Avance Nerve Graft allows surgeons to perform the typically preferred nerve-to-nerve repair while eliminating the need for a second donor site surgery.

“We are proud to partner with LifeNet Health in providing donor families another option for tissue donation. With this partnership, we will be able to reach even more patients in need of peripheral nerve repair to improve and restore their quality of life,” states Karen Zaderej, COO for AxoGen.

“The clinical benefit this technology brings to patients is tremendous, LifeNet Health is excited to help AxoGen bring this treatment option to more patients, helping us to fulfill our mission of saving lives, and restoring health,” states Doug Wilson, Executive Vice President for LifeNet Health.
