QHR hospital clients Wooster Community (OH) and Brazosport Regional (TX) were named to the Thomson 100 Top Hospitals. QHR provides the hospitals with on-site management and consulting services to help them achieve successful results.

Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) April 11, 2008 -- James L. Horrar, president and CEO for QHR, today recognized two QHR Management Services hospital clients for being ranked among the best hospitals in the country in Thomson Healthcare's 15th annual 100 Top Hospitals®: National Benchmarks for Success study, released on March 17. The national study identifies the nation's top performing hospitals using the two most recent years of data.

The QHR clients included in the list are Brazosport Regional Health System in Lake Jackson, Texas and Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster, Ohio. This is the first year that either hospital has been named to the list.

"QHR is proud to work with these hospitals, supporting their goals for improvement," said Horrar. "We look forward to meeting their needs for strategic, operational and financial management support."

The CEO of Wooster Community Hospital, Bill Sheron, credits QHR for providing an array of services that help the hospital's executive team to think strategically. "Our work with QHR has allowed us to focus on three goals: solid financial performance, enhancing patient satisfaction and becoming more of a regional referral center," said Sheron.

Daniel Buche, president and CEO of Brazosport Regional Health System, attributes QHR's strategic planning initiatives as one of the key elements to their success. "QHR played an instrumental role in aligning the efforts of the Board, Medical Staff and Executive Team," Buche said. "Through the strategic planning process, our key stakeholders came together to build a solid organizational foundation, which ultimately enabled the entire team to achieve our vision of earning the 100 Top Hospitals Award."

Thomson Healthcare, a national healthcare information company, performs the annual study in order to share the new standards being set by the hospital industry, enabling other hospitals to improve their own hospital-wide performance. To learn more, visit www.100tophospitals.com.
