NASW Approves iPEC's Life Potentials Training for 27 CECs

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) has approved the Life Potentials Training program - created and offered by the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (iPEC) - for 27 continuing education contact hours (CECs). Social Work Today, the nation's leading newsmagazine for social workers has previously proclaimed: "While it can be therapeutic, life coaching is not therapy. Social workers are naturals to take proactive clients to 'most valuable player' status." The Life Potentials Training program is the starting point for social workers considering jumping into professional coaching.

Shrewsbury, New Jersey (PRWEB) July 21, 2008 -- The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) (http://www.socialworkers.org) has approved the Life Potentials Training program - created and offered by the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (iPEC) - for 27 continuing education contact hours (CECs).

Social Work Today, the nation's leading newsmagazine for social workers has previously proclaimed: "While it can be therapeutic, life coaching (http://www.ipeccoaching.com) is not therapy. Social workers are naturals to take proactive clients to 'most valuable player' status."

Many social workers view coaching as an additional skill set that can supplement their existing practices, and many other social workers see becoming a certified coach as an entirely additional income stream.

The Life Potentials Training program is the starting point for social workers considering jumping into professional coaching, as it improves - and provides skills to coach others to improve - overall leadership ability in the areas of interpersonal skills, communication, emotional intelligence, goal setting and achievement, team building, decision making, and planning. iPEC offers both the Life Potentials Training and a full coach certification (http://www.ipeccoaching.com) training program (which includes the Life Potentials Training as the first module of the program).

The Life Potentials Training helps individuals to discover what's keeping them from living their best life, engaging completely in their work, and enjoying every moment. Individuals want to put the best of who they are into all that they do. They want to feel invigorated with each day and each experience. And, they want to be themselves - sharing their gifts and voice effortlessly with those around them.

The Life Potentials Training is extremely unique in this regard: the program coaches participants on personal and leadership development, and yet at the same time, trains them to use these same skills and processes with other people - be coached and learn to coach in the same course. This is an inside-out process for intensive professional development, enabling those who will use these skills to become even more effective social workers, leaders, consultants, teachers, or parents to experience all that they will ultimately to do with others.

As part of the 3-day program, participants gain a deep understanding of the Core Energy Coaching™ process, a skill set used by today's top life and executive coaches to achieve extraordinary results. Also taught are a series of skills, tools, exercises, and principles that individuals can immediately apply to everyday home and work life that lead to a greater understanding of how to effectively motivate and inspire others (as well as themselves).

Finally, but most importantly, students will also understand the key underlying blocks that most typically prevent people from taking action and achieving sought after goals, as well as learn the approaches to permanently removing these blocks. The skills, philosophies, tools, and overall experience have a profound impact on all aspects of attendees' lives - such as improving personal relationships, stress levels, overall fulfillment, and much more.
