Northeast Center for Special Care Serves New York State Respiratory Professionals with Continuing Education at its 3rd Annual Mid-Hudson Respiratory Conference

Northeast Center for Special Care, a nationally-known ventilator and respiratory program, presented its third annual Mid-Hudson Respiratory Conference on August 9, 2007 in Kingston, NY, as a part of its continuing commitment to the education of respiratory professionals in New York State. Lake Katrine, NY (PRWEB) August 20, 2007 -- Northeast Center for Special Care, a nationally known ventilator and respiratory program recognized for its successful outcomes in weaning individuals from mechanical ventilators and community reintegration for people with complex respiratory and pulmonary conditions, presented its 3rd Annual Mid-Hudson Respiratory Conference as a part of the Center's continuing commitment to the education of respiratory professionals in New York State. The conference was held on August 9, 2007 in Historic Kingston, NY. Ninety respiratory therapists from the Mid-Hudson Valley and throughout New York State were in attendance and a total of 540 continuing education credits (CEU's), sanctioned by the American Association for Respiratory Care, were awarded. Wortham BA, RRT, Senior Tracheostomy Specialist with Smith's Medical ASD, Inc., NAVA Ventilation by Tina Wellman, RRT, Clinical Education Specialist, Maquet, Inc., Transition to Long Term Care of the Mechanically Ventilated Patient by Alicia Fredella, RRT, CBIT. Thomas Harvie, RRT/CPFT, Ventilator Care Program Director at Northeast Center for Special Care, led the planning committee for the conference. Mr. Harvie has been a Respiratory Care professional for fifteen years, and in March of 2007 he received the President's Recognition Award from the Northeast Chapter of the New York State Society for Respiratory Care.
