Autism Research - Announcing a Pilot Project to Identify the Cause, Prevention, and Possible Cure of Autism
The theory is that autism is caused by specific nutritional factors present, or lacking during the developmental stages of pregnancy and/or the developmental stages of early childhood. San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 11, 2007 -- Harold Rongey, Ph.D., food scientist and nutritionist, seeks to confirm his theory as to the nutritional factors causing autism. This research is expected to answer the question of why the incidence of autism is four to five times greater in some states than others. If the theory is confirmed, prevention and possible cures could result from simple dietary changes during pregnancy and in early childhood.
Dr. Rongey is seeking parents of children who have been diagnosed with autistic disorders and are willing to complete a brief survey of their typical dietary practices. The survey includes the time from six months prior to conception, through pregnancy, and nursing. For the child the time frame is from birth until the problem was diagnosed.
The theory is that autism is caused by specific nutritional factors present, or lacking during the developmental stages of pregnancy and/or the developmental stages of early childhood.
