Precision Stability Storage opened a new facility for the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, providing state-of-the-art offsite stability storage rooms and chambers. PSS provides environmentally-controlled storage to the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Multiple stability rooms at custom and ICH conditions are available that are fully validated to meet strict temperature and humidity specifications. ICH, or International Conference on Harmonization, refers to the combined efforts of regulatory authorizes in Europe, Japan and the U.S. as well as experts from the pharmaceutical industry to maintain the consistency of scientific and technical aspects of product registration. Each of the 900 cubic-foot rooms is continuously monitored and remote paging is provided for alarm conditions. An automatic emergency generator provides redundant facility power to ensure the integrity of stored material. Ken Edwards, PSS director of business development and partner, expects the 13 proposed units will be at capacity within the first year. "Wilson is strategically located to pharmaceutical companies in need of our services. We see more of these companies outsourcing this storage service because it makes sense economically," Edwards said.
