Troubled Teen Aftercare Leader Opens Second National Office

Homeward Bound Names California as New Office Site and Welcomes Another Member to Their Clinical Team

Lehi, Utah (PRWEB) November 1, 2008 -- Homeward Bound, the industry leader in teen aftercare and in-home family treatment, announced today the opening of their West Coast office in California's Bay Area and the appointment of therapy expert, Rebekah Tayebi as a transition specialist.

The new office will allow Homeward Bound to provide local services to families and adolescent treatment programs in the Bay Area as well as other parts of California and the Northwest. For more than three years, Homeward Bound's innovative, evidence-based, aftercare programs have been helping teens and families bridge the gap between out-of-home treatment and the return to real life. The company also provides Earlycare™ services for families who are in need of immediate intervention but do not need out-of-home placement.

"We are thrilled about the opening of our West Coast office and especially delighted to have Rebekah Tayebi head up this endeavor as the newest member of our clinical team," said Dr. Tim Thayne, Homeward Bound Founder and CEO. "Rebekah is a highly respected therapist with an impressive track record of working with families of teens who are struggling."

Rebekah Tayebi earned a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University in New York. During her time in New York, she worked in the projects for two years, assisting children and families with special needs. Through this experience, Tayebi gained a love for clinical work and decided residential treatment would sharpen her skills as a therapist. She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and worked as a primary therapist at La Europa Academy, a residential treatment center for teenage girls. Her favorite aspect of her work there was family therapy, especially helping families re-connect and strengthen their bonds with each other.

"I loved seeing hope emerge as family members made essential changes in their healing processes," said Rebekah Tayebi. In addition to individual and family therapy, Tayebi specialized in trauma, adoption issues, addiction/recovery, and personality disorders.

"I am excited to be a part of the Homeward Bound team," said Tayebi. "I look forward to being a part of the company's growth in Northern California and helping families build their relationships in the home environment."
