The MediCap USB200 by MediCapture allows medical offices to capture video or still images generated by medical imaging instruments such as ultrasound, endoscopes, C-Arms, or surgical microscopes and convert them into digital images. The images are stored on a keychain-sized portable flash drive. To transfer to a PC, simply plug into the USB port and open the flash drive onscreen. Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) May 14, 2007 -- Scientific Vision Systems, one of the leading distributors of medical and professional video equipment, announced availability of the new MediCap USB200 Digital Image Capture device, produced by MediCapture. The device, a desktop peripheral, allows users to simply plug in and capture video and still images from endoscopes, ultrasound machines, C-Arms, surgical microscopes and other medical imaging devices at the touch of a button or a footswitch. The images are captured on a USB flash memory drive and can be transferred to any Windows PC via any USB port. The device installs by plugging in power and attaching a cable to the Video Out port of the monitor for the endoscope, ultrasound, C-Arms, surgical microscopes, or other medical imaging instrument. A color LCD monitor on the front panel of the MediCap USB200 provides a bright, crisp image for easy navigation and confirmation of image capture. Images can then be archived, enhanced, emailed, and incorporated into teaching plans or consultations as needed. According to Dick Wheeler, President of Scientific Vision Systems, "The new MediCap 200 provides a simple way to capture, store, archive and/or transmit live video or still images generated by any type of medical imaging device, including ultrasound machines, endoscopes, C-Arms, and surgical microscopes. This makes it easy for medical offices to archive digital images in patient files or to transfer images directly to the patient. For example, the doctor can now provide soon-to-be-parents with prenatal video or still images of their developing child." About Scientific Vision Systems: Located in Carlsbad, CA, Scientific Vision Systems is one of the largest distributors of medical video equipment in the United States. The company handles such leading manufacturers as Sony, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Hitachi, JVC and Elmo. ###
